Garment Care
Despite our garments being of exceptional quality, pilling and bobbling can occur when fibers are loosened due to excessive friction on certain fabrics. A gentle brush usually resolves the issues. However, pilling tests on our garments have always had excellent results.
Stay Cool
Shrinkage is commonly caused by overheating in the washing machine or tumble drier particularly on 100% cotton garments. Always follow the washing guideline instructions on the label. Where possible, garments should be washed inside out.
Chemicals are bad news
When caring for your Banner garments, avoid contact with chemicals such as bleaching agents and softeners. Equally, avoid contact with perfumes and hairsprays as well as similar products.
Controlling shine
Ironing at temperatures that are too high can result in unwanted shine marks on matte fabrics.
A top tip is to remember that man-made fabrics are vulnerable to high heat. Protect your garments by turning the heat down on your iron, turn the garment inside out when ironing, or even cover the fabric with a damp towel before ironing.
Embroidery and Printing
All our school embroidery designs are created using the latest embroidery machine technology and will usually outlast the garment. Embroidered logos can be ironed as normal. All printed logos must be ironed inside out to prevent the logo from distorting or melting.
Note: Actual garment measurements are in inches unless otherwise specified. Subject to normal manufacturing tolerances. Colors for guidance only. Please refer to our color chart. All items subject to availability.
